The Animals

Laura Humber, 12 years-old and her three siblings were raised by their widowed father.

An elderly housekeeper helped the family around the house.
 She noticed Laura's strange hobby attacking the cat; chopping then dicing its tail .When no more domestic animals, she ran to the farm animals. Stomping on chickens and ripping turkeys apart. Once she slaughtered all the creatures she turned her sights towards the siblings . Throwing objects and slicing their clothes apart .
  The housekeeper warned her father the girl is immoral and soon she would take sexual advances towards the innocence ones. However he dismissed her.

 
 During dinner one of the young children was about to eat when she discovered particles of glass.
    Laura crushed glass into fine particles and placed it in the food, hoping her family would die.

The father had enough . She was arrested and her father told the judge Laura wanted to kill the family in order to get the property.
She was sent to an industrial school. Children are generally released at 14 and if not able to manage are sent to an asylum or prison.
